Built in the late 1800’s, this grand clan house was established in recognition of the Chinese immigrants’ needs, specifically those with the surname ‘Khoo’ and from the same village, to look after their welfare and to worship their ancestors. Over the years of growing population and wealth, this magnificent building was completed with craftsmanship imported from China. Today, it’s functions not only as a religious site, but also as a museum which houses the genealogy records of their current descendants today.
More information on the clan house can be found here.
