Built on a land given to the local Thai people from Queen Victoria in 1845, this temple houses the 14th largest reclining Buddha statue in the world. It personifies a tale when Buddha was reaching the end of his life, he reclined in eternal rest. Situated right across the Burmese temple, this Buddhist temple is no less majestic in its grandeur of both architecture and craftsmanship. Statues of different Buddhist monks and mythical creatures line the hallways, representing the deep cultural and religious reverence the locals have for their roots.
